Sooner or later, every deuterium lamp reaches the end of its useful life. Many instrument manufacturers demand extremely high prices from their users for replacement lamps. However, as only very few of these companies produce deuterium lamps themselves, they generally outsource them from well-known manufacturers such as Heraeus Noblelight or Hamamatsu.
As an official, preferred distributor for Heraeus Noblelight products and a close partner of other companies, who fit Hamamatsu lamps with instrument-specific brackets and flanges, we are in a position to offer prealigned lamps for almost all instruments at prices well below those demanded by the instrument manufacturers. We offer our customers competent technical advice and maintain stock of many common lamps, enabling us to deliver fast.

Our databases are compiled with great care and attention. We guaranty that the listed lamps are suitable for your instruments. Should this not be the case, we will take them back and refund the full purchase price. We will do our best to help you.
Heraeus Noblelight Deuterium Lamps
Deuterium lamps emit an almost continuous spectrum of light ranging from the main UV wavelengths of 160 - 400 nm to the visible spectral range (800 nm). This makes them the ideal light source for high precision absorption measurements, e.g. in HPLC. Heraeus Noblelight offers a wide range of deuterium lamps: Lamps with a guaranteed lifetime of 1000 or 2000 hours, with quartz or UV-glass envelopes, shine-through lamps and different sorts of special lamps.

Warranty
Heraeus Noblelight offers a warranty time of 1000 hours for all DO-, DS- and SD-types, resp. 2000 hours for all DX-, XD- and PR41xxx types within 2 years after production date (shelf life).
The typical life expectancy is defined as the hours at which the lamp intensity falls to 50% of its original value at 280 nm.
Cathodeon and IST Deuterium Lamps
Heraeus Noblelight GmbH took over Cathodeon Ltd. (UK) in 2004. A year later they purchased the American lamp manufacturer IST Spectral Technologies. The three product lines have been rationalised and, as of June 2006, the Cathodeon and IST brand names are no longer being used by the new owner. Deuterium lamps from all three production facilities are therefore being marketed and sold under the Heraeus Noblelight name.
